In Paris, Noire Vision Production recently worked on a project bringing together GIMS and Gazo, two leading artists in the French-speaking music scene. Directed by Nono, a director at Noire Vision Production, the project was produced in partnership with the label Blackbelt Music, with Noire Vision overseeing the executive production.
This collaboration reflects our continued work at the intersection of music and visual storytelling, with the ambition of bringing projects to life through a strong combination of creative direction and production expertise.
A meeting of two worlds
GIMS and Gazo have both established a strong presence within the French-speaking music scene. While each artist has developed a distinct musical and visual identity, bringing them together created an exciting opportunity for visual storytelling.
For this project, the aim was to develop an aesthetic that reflected the personalities of both artists while maintaining a contemporary and natural approach.
The shoot took place in Paris, across different environments that helped shape the project’s visual atmosphere. The city became more than just a backdrop: it became part of the visual identity, contributing to the meeting between the two artists.
Nono behind the camera
For this project, Nono directed the film.
His approach places particular emphasis on image, rhythm and the identity of the people in front of the camera. In a music project, directing goes far beyond simply capturing a performance. Every choice contributes to the story: framing, camera movement, lighting, locations and the direction given to the artists.
With GIMS and Gazo, Nono worked to create an image that highlighted both personalities while maintaining a strong visual consistency throughout the different sequences.
This approach reflects the way Noire Vision Production views directing: developing an aesthetic that complements an artist’s universe without altering its essence.
Executive production supporting the creative vision
Alongside the direction, Noire Vision Production handled the executive production of the shoot.
Executive production plays an essential role in bringing an audiovisual project to life. It transforms a creative intention into a structured production by anticipating the different requirements of the shoot and coordinating the teams involved.
For this project in Paris, Noire Vision supported the preparation and organisation of the shoot, as well as the coordination of the various contributors on set.
This preparation creates a smooth working environment for the director, artists and technical teams, allowing creativity to remain at the centre once the cameras start rolling.

Paris as a creative setting
For this shoot, Paris provided a rich environment in which to develop the project’s visual identity.
Its streets, architecture and different atmospheres offered a variety of possibilities throughout the shoot. The choice of locations therefore became an important part of the overall creative direction.
But a location alone does not create an image. It needs to interact with lighting, camera movement and the presence of the artists.
It is this combination that gives a project its character and allows the visuals to extend the musical universe beyond the sound itself.
